Hi and thanks for reading more about me!

My name is Gary Huang. I live in Tokyo, Japan.

My Story

Originally from Los Angeles, I now reside in Tokyo with my wife and son.

I specialize in guiding Amazon sellers and e-commerce brands to successfully enter the lucrative Japanese market. Through my 6 Bridges to Selling in Japan framework, I help brands navigate critical steps such as:

  • Product Market Fit
  • Import and Compliance
  • Localization and Translation
  • PPC Marketing
  • Influencer Partnerships
  • Launch Strategy

As the founder of the award-winning 7 Figure Seller Summit, I built a global platform that has helped thousands of sellers grow, scale, and exit their businesses.

With nine successful events featuring top e-commerce experts and sellers, the summit serves as a trusted resource for entrepreneurs aiming to take their businesses to the next level.

I also lead the Tokyo Ecom and Amazon Sellers Meetup Group, a vibrant community fostering networking and knowledge-sharing among sellers and brands in Japan.

Having worked with hundreds of Chinese suppliers and more recently collaborated with Japanese suppliers, I have hands-on expertise in sourcing high-quality products for global markets.

Since 2015, I have personally launched and scaled multiple private label brands on Amazon, eBay, Shopify, and independent websites.

I am fluent in Mandarin Chinese and experienced in cross-cultural business; I bridge the gap for brands sourcing from China and Japan to succeed in Western markets.

I also have been featured in Jungle Scout’s Million Dollar Case Study, Helium 10, and Webretailer, and have spoken at top industry events like the Global Sources Summit in Hong Kong and the American Chamber of Commerce in Shanghai.

In my previous experience, I founded 80/20 Sourcing, where I helped thousands of entrepreneurs save time and money sourcing products from China while scaling their businesses.

As the former Chair of the American Chamber of Commerce in Shanghai’s Supply Chain Committee, I also participated in a business delegation to the White House and US Congress, providing insights on the impact of tariffs on US businesses.

I hold a B.A. in East Asian Languages and Business from the University of Southern California and a Master’s Certificate in Advanced China Studies from the Hopkins Nanjing Center.
